Educating & inspiring through gaming

GHA eSports uses video games as a vehicle for learning. In Physics of Soccar, Rocket League turns vectors, momentum, and collisions into something students can see and feel. In FC Tactical Academy, EA SPORTS FC 27 becomes a classroom for tactical soccer IQ.

Across both programs, students build spatial awareness, sportsmanship, and teamwork, with coaching, structured weekly sessions, and a culminating event at the end of every season.

Good to know before you sign up

Who is eligible?

Gainesville, GA residents. Physics of Soccar is for grades 7–9 and FC Tactical Academy is for grades 6–12. Harrison Apartments residents get priority.

Is there any cost?

No. Both programs are 100% free. Gainesville Housing Authority provides the hardware, PCs, and game licenses.

Do students need equipment?

No. All gaming equipment is provided on-site at the Harrison Apartments Lab.

How big are the programs?

Cohorts are small so every student gets real coaching time. FC Tactical Academy is capped at 12 students, and Physics of Soccar runs cohorts of 8–12. A waiting list is available when a cohort fills.

What is the attendance policy?

We ask students to commit to every weekly session, because squad play depends on a full, consistent team. If a student will miss a session, let the instructor know as far ahead as possible.

Can my student join right now?

The fall season of FC Tactical Academy is underway. Submit an inquiry to join the waiting list, since spots can open if an enrolled player can’t attend, and to hear about upcoming seasons of both programs.
